The shocking video of two staffers abusing a dog at a pet clinic in Thane, Maharashtra has sparked a massive outrage on social media. As reported by The Indian Express earlier, a case of noncognisable offense against the two men was filed with the Mandapa Police Station on February 13 after the video emerged online.
It also caught the attention of celebrities including Varun Dhawan, Bhumi Pednekar, Malaika Arora, and Ravi Dubey among others who condemned the act and demanded stringent punishment against the accused. Reacting to the video, Varun Dhawan wrote, “Please dm me the information u have I will speak to the necessary authorities.” Following the police complaint, the actor thanked the Mumbai Police and wrote, “Thank you Mumbai police for acting so swiftly in the matter the content of what was done was so heinous let the law take its course.”

The Bhakshak actor wrote, “This is so disturbing. We need stricter laws.” Malaika Arora expressed her anger and wrote, “I just hope that poor helpless doggie is ok. Am just so angry I believe they have got him. Now authorities time for action and severe punishment.”
TV actor Ravi Dubey informed, “Just spoke Dr. Abhishek from Vetic ..these boys have been arrested and let’s pray they get 2 years in prison at least which is unfortunately the maximum tenure possible for a heinous crime like this.”
The now-viral video that shows the two staffers mercilessly hitting the Chow Chow — was shared by the Instagram handle, StreetsdogsofBombay. Sharing the video, the handle wrote, “This is not okay. As animal lovers, it’s our job to keep our furry friends safe and happy. We can’t let this kind of cruelty go unchecked.”

The two accused of the pet clinic were identified as Mayur Michael Aadhav, 19, and Prashant Sanjay Gaikwad, 20.
